Sounds of the Forest

Sounds of the Forest is an innovative soundmap project created for the Timber Festival, designed to gather and showcase the unique auditory experiences of woodlands and forests globally.

This open-source library allows users to listen to and utilize these natural sounds for creative purposes. It also invites artists to respond to the collected sounds by creating music, audio pieces, and artwork, enriching the cultural connection to nature.

Supported by Arts Council England, the project aims to foster appreciation for the natural world through sound.
